I have been taking this for three weeks. I have been taking a thyroid med Levothyroxine for 2 years. The more I do the research the more I believe I have been suffering with this for 30 years. The problems I have are more severe than some of the others I read. I do not want to say that this does not help. I have felt horrible the last week and still do but I do not think it is Thyroid Alive. I have gone through this every month for about two weeks. I go through weeks feeling lethargic, pain everywhere. Chronic depression. When I was younger, I did not notice it as much, I would go a few days out of a month like this and I just figured I am working too hard, pushing too hard, worked out wrong or exercised wrong and just push on. Attributed the fatigue to pushing too hard working too much giving too much. I am a type A so really a bit of a work acholic. As I got older it became a week or so out of the Month. I attributed it to working too hard, pushing too hard. Actually, I would go through high levels of energy working, giving and family 100 plus hours a week then I would go through the drop and pain. I also lived a very outgoing life, so water ski, snow ski, surf, run, exercise, work out, dirt bike ride, ultralight flying, cliff diving, and boating and skin diving. I lived a very active life and with that came a number of broken bones and injuries. The doctors attributed the pain and tiredness to getting older and broken bones. I did not know any better so I took it.
Now that I am older It got to the point that if I had to raise my arms to move the curtain the pain was so severe It could stop me. It was not until two years ago when they figured out it was my thyroid. Since I started taking the Levothyroxine some of the pain levels are less severe, but now I am getting worse again. Two weeks out of the month I go through this, and it is horrible. Brain fog, it multiplies the back pain and Achillies tenant 3 times worse than normal and then the rest of my body suffers pain everywhere. My entire body feels heavy, hard to walk, hard to move, hard to accomplish anything. But I am a type A and my sheer grit will not allow me to stop or quit so I push through.
I am never hungry from this, food does not even sound good. I have lost 60 pounds over the last year because I am never hungry. I finally just started to go entirely organic with no micro-toxins. I created a food program of Organic non micro toxin oatmeal, with organic blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and banana. No Lunch, Dinner is organic salad, organic 22 grain bread and Alaskan fish with about a gallon of water a day.
I had a car accident last year that really screwed up my back really bad and I have been seeing doctors, physical therapy, chiropractors trying to get better from that. I did not realize that all my muscles in my back and legs went too mush. I have spent a year trying to recover from that. I was taking a lot of anti-inflammatory, Moton pain killers, muscle relaxers, and to sleep marijuana. I found out exactly what is wrong and what I needed to do to fix my Achillies tenant, it will take 3 months to a year to fix it. I have been doing a lot of exercises and yoga to fix the problems with my back and it is starting to get better. The problem with taking all of that medication for the back injury is it messed me up in other ways. I have suffered with Gout in the past and those medications cause the uric acids to build up and I got Gout worse than I had ever had. I figured out the problems that all those meds were causing so I stopped Medications completely except the Levothyroxine. I still take good healthy supplements.
I have read and listened to Dr. Pompa learning more about how the thyroid works and how what effects it. I am still learning. For the last year I have tried to exercise and get better but between the back problem and Achillies tendent I would start and one or both would go out and I would stop to let it rest and heel. That did not work, so now I have a real program that I have been working on for 6 weeks, 40 minutes walking 2 miles a day and 40 minutes exercise for back, legs, upper body and heel. The problem with my Thyroid put me down for a week last week where I could not do hardly anything.
I have only gone organic in the last 6 weeks; I am doing everything I know to try to fix this. And I had hopes of this working but so far I have not see any difference. I will give it a try for 90 days and see if there is any improvement.
I was wondering if you have any other suggestions.
