I am 84 and had cataract surgery in April and May 2021. I have been taking Vision Alive since November 2022. In October 2022 another provider, a DO not with Duke, told me I had nerve damage and "wide-angle glaucoma" and was losing peripheral vision and could be "blind" in 14-15 years. He prescribed Latanoprost which I didn't take after reading about the possible side effects including permanent change of eye color, heart problems,shortness of breath, big weight gain,chest pain that is new or worse etc. !! Today, at my annual visit to my new ophthalmologist at Duke Health whom I first saw one year ago, his exam found NO CHANGE when visualizing the optic nerve. In the test results on my Duke chart he wrote, "At low risk for open-angle glaucoma."
